Most stable patients are checked periodically—often every 6–12 months, or sooner if symptoms or health status change.

Do I need to fast for thyroid blood tests?

Fasting is not required for TSH/Free T4. For consistency, we recommend drawing labs before taking your daily levothyroxine dose.

Does biotin affect thyroid tests?

Yes—biotin can distort results. Please stop biotin supplements for 2–3 days before thyroid testing unless instructed otherwise.

How should I take levothyroxine?

Take it on an empty stomach with water at the same time each day, ideally 30–60 minutes before breakfast or at bedtime 3–4 hours after your last meal. Separate from calcium/iron by several hours.

Do you manage hyperthyroidism?

Yes—we perform the initial work-up and symptom control (e.g., beta-blocker when appropriate), then coordinate definitive therapy with endocrinology when needed.
