How GI visits works

Assess & test

History, meds & family risk; BP/weight. Labs: fasting/non-fasting lipid panel, A1C, TSH, liver enzymes; review secondary causes. Calculate ASCVD risk.

Plan

Set LDL/TG targets; lifestyle roadmap. Start/adjust statin or non-statin option (e.g., ezetimibe) when appropriate; treat high TGs (omega-3/fibrate when indicated). Manage side effects.

Follow‑up

Recheck lipids in 6–12 weeks, adjust dose, monitor side effects/LFTs as needed; then every 3–12 months once stable

Insurance & billing

Visits are billed like standard office visits. Labs are ordered to a local lab; results route back to us for follow‑up
