Telemedicine visits are billed much like in‑person visits and are covered by most commercial plans. Medicare continues to cover a broad set of telehealth services through September 30, 2025. California’s Medi‑Cal also covers telehealth; providers must obtain patient consent for telehealth and follow standard privacy rules.
